말라기
1. 말라기를 통하여 이스라엘에게 주신 {주}의 말씀의 엄중한 부담이라. 1. The burden of the word of the LORD to Israel by Malachi.
2. {주}가 말하노라. 내가 너희를 사랑하였노라. 그러나 너희는 이르기를, 주께서 어떤 점에서 우리를 사랑하셨나이까? 하는도다. {주}가 말하노라. 에서는 야곱의 형이 아니냐? 그러나 내가 야곱을 사랑하고 2. I have loved you, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob's brother? saith the LORD: yet I loved Jacob,
3. 에서는 미워하였으며 광야의 용들을 위해 그의 산들과 유산을 피폐하게 하였느니라. 3. And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness.
4. 에돔은 이르기를, 우리가 궁핍하게 되었으나 돌아와서 황폐한 곳들을 세우리라, 하거니와 만군의 {주}는 이같이 말하노라. 그들이 세울지라도 나는 헐리라. 그들이 그들을 일컬어 사악한 지역이라 하며 {주}께서 영원토록 격노하시는 백성이라 하리니 4. Whereas Edom saith, We are impoverished, but we will return and build the desolate places; thus saith the LORD of hosts, They shall build, but I will throw down; and they shall call them, The border of wickedness, and, The people against whom the LORD hath indignation for ever.
5. 너희가 눈으로 보고 이르기를, {주}께서는 이스라엘의 경계에서부터 크게 되시리로다, 하리라. 5. And your eyes shall see, and ye shall say, The LORD will be magnified from the border of Israel.
6. ¶ 오 내 이름을 멸시하는 제사장들아, 만군의 {주}가 너희에게 이르기를, 아들은 자기 아버지를 공경하고 종은 자기 주인을 공경하나니 그런즉 내가 아버지일진대 나를 공경함이 어디 있느냐? 내가 주인일진대 나를 두려워함이 어디 있느냐? 하거니와 너희는 이르기를, 우리가 어떤 점에서 주의 이름을 멸시하였나이까? 하는도다. 6. ¶ A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the LORD of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name?
7. 너희가 더러운 빵을 내 제단 위에 드리고는 이르기를, 우리가 어떤 점에서 주를 더럽게 하였나이까? 하나니 너희가 이르기를, {주}의 상은 업신여겨도 된다, 하는 점에서 그리하였느니라. 7. Ye offer polluted bread upon mine altar; and ye say, Wherein have we polluted thee? In that ye say, The table of the LORD is contemptible.
8. 만군의 {주}가 말하노라. 너희가 눈먼 것을 희생물로 드리면 그것이 악하지 아니하냐? 너희가 다리 저는 것과 병든 것을 드리면 그것이 악하지 아니하냐? 이제 그것을 네 총독에게 드려 보라. 그가 너를 기뻐하겠으며 네 외모를 용납하겠느냐? 8. And if ye offer the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil? and if ye offer the lame and sick, is it not evil? offer it now unto thy governor; will he be pleased with thee, or accept thy person? saith the LORD of hosts.
9. 만군의 {주}가 말하노라. 이제 청하노니 우리에게 은혜를 베푸소서 하고 하나님께 간구하라. 이것이 너희 수단을 통해 지금까지 있어 왔나니 그가 너희 외모를 중시하겠느냐? 9. And now, I pray you, beseech God that he will be gracious unto us: this hath been by your means: will he regard your persons? saith the LORD of hosts.
10. 만군의 {주}가 말하노라. 너희 가운데 조금이라도 받지 아니하고 문들을 닫을 자가 과연 누구냐? 또 너희가 조금이라도 받지 아니하면 내 제단에 불을 피우지 아니하는도다. 내가 너희를 기뻐하지 아니하며 너희 손에서 헌물도 받지 아니하리라. 10. Who is there even among you that would shut the doors for nought? neither do ye kindle fire on mine altar for nought. I have no pleasure in you, saith the LORD of hosts, neither will I accept an offering at your hand.
11. 해 뜨는 곳에서부터 해 지는 곳까지의 이방인들 가운데서 내 이름이 크게 되며 모든 곳에서 내 이름을 위해 향을 드리고 정결한 헌물을 드리리니 내 이름이 이교도들 가운데서 크게 되리라. 만군의 {주}가 말하노라. 11. For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, saith the LORD of hosts.
12. ¶ 그러나 너희는 말하기를, {주}의 상은 더러워졌고 그 상의 열매 곧 그분의 먹을 것은 업신여겨도 된다, 함으로 내 이름을 더럽혔느니라. 12. ¶ But ye have profaned it, in that ye say, The table of the LORD is polluted; and the fruit thereof, even his meat, is contemptible.
13. 만군의 {주}가 말하노라. 너희가 또한 이르기를, 보라, 그 일이 얼마나 피곤한가! 하며 그 일을 향하여 코웃음을 치고 찢긴 것과 다리 저는 것과 병든 것을 가져왔느니라. {주}가 말하노라. 너희가 이같이 헌물을 가져왔으니 내가 너희 손에서 이것을 받겠느냐? 13. Ye said also, Behold, what a weariness is it! and ye have snuffed at it, saith the LORD of hosts; and ye brought that which was torn, and the lame, and the sick; thus ye brought an offering: should I accept this of your hand? saith the LORD.
14. 그러나 속이는 자 곧 자기 양 떼에 수컷이 있는데도 서원한 뒤에 부패한 것으로 [주]에게 희생물을 드리는 자는 저주를 받으리라. 나는 위대한 [왕]이며 내 이름은 이교도들 가운데서 두려운 것이니라. 만군의 {주}가 말하노라. 14. But cursed be the deceiver, which hath in his flock a male, and voweth, and sacrificeth unto the Lord a corrupt thing: for I am a great King, saith the LORD of hosts, and my name is dreadful among the heathen.
1. 오 너희 제사장들아, 이제 이 명령은 너희를 위한 것이니라. 1. And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you.
2. 만군의 {주}가 말하노라. 만일 너희가 들으려 하지 아니하며 그것을 마음에 두려 하지 아니하여 내 이름에 영광을 돌리지 아니하면 내가 너희에게 심지어 저주를 보내어 너희의 복들을 저주하리라. 참으로 내가 이미 그것들을 저주하였으니 이는 너희가 그것을 마음에 두지 아니하기 때문이라. 2. If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.
3. 보라, 내가 너희 씨를 썩게 하며 똥 곧 너희의 엄숙한 명절들의 똥을 너희 얼굴에 바르리니 사람이 너희를 그 똥과 함께 취하여 가리라. 3. Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces, even the dung of your solemn feasts; and one shall take you away with it.
4. 만군의 {주}가 말하노라. 내 언약이 레위와 함께 있게 하려고 내가 이 명령을 너희에게 보낸 줄을 너희가 알지니라. 4. And ye shall know that I have sent this commandment unto you, that my covenant might be with Levi, saith the LORD of hosts.
5. 그와 함께한 내 언약은 생명과 화평의 언약이었노라. 그가 두려움으로 나를 두려워하며 내 이름 앞에서 무서워하였으므로 내가 그것들을 그에게 주었노라. 5. My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him for the fear wherewith he feared me, and was afraid before my name.
6. 그의 입에는 진리의 법이 있고 그의 입술에서는 불법을 찾을 수 없으며 그가 화평과 공평 가운데서 나와 함께 걷고 많은 사람을 돌이켜 불법에서 떠나게 하였느니라. 6. The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity.
7. 제사장의 입술은 지식을 지켜야 하며 그들은 그의 입에서 율법을 구해야 하나니 그는 만군의 {주}의 사자니라. 7. For the priest's lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts.
8. 그러나 너희가 그 길에서 떠나 많은 사람을 율법에 걸려 넘어지게 하고 레위의 언약을 썩게 하였느니라. 만군의 {주}가 말하노라. 8. But ye are departed out of the way; ye have caused many to stumble at the law; ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith the LORD of hosts.
9. 그런즉 너희가 내 길들을 지키지 아니하고 율법에서 한쪽으로 치우쳤으므로 나도 너희로 하여금 온 백성 앞에서 멸시와 천대를 당하게 하였느니라. 9. Therefore have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as ye have not kept my ways, but have been partial in the law.
10. 우리 모두에게 한 아버지가 계시지 아니하냐? 한 하나님께서 우리를 창조하지 아니하셨느냐? 어찌하여 우리가 우리 조상들의 언약을 더럽힘으로 각 사람이 자기 형제를 대적하며 배신하느냐? 10. Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?
11. ¶ 유다는 배신하였고 이스라엘과 예루살렘 안에서는 가증한 일이 저질러졌나니 유다가 {주}께서 사랑하시는 것 즉 그분의 거룩함을 더럽히고 이방 신의 딸과 결혼하였느니라. 11. ¶ Judah hath dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah hath profaned the holiness of the LORD which he loved, and hath married the daughter of a strange god.
12. 이 일을 행하는 자가 선생이나 배우는 자나 혹은 만군의 {주}께 헌물을 드리는 자라도 {주}께서 야곱의 장막들 가운데서 그 사람을 끄집어내어 끊으시리라. 12. The LORD will cut off the man that doeth this, the master and the scholar, out of the tabernacles of Jacob, and him that offereth an offering unto the LORD of hosts.
13. 또 너희가 눈물과 울음과 부르짖음으로 {주}의 제단을 덮으면서 또한 이런 일을 행하였나니 그러므로 그분께서 다시는 헌물을 중히 여기지 아니하시며 그것을 너희 손에서 선한 뜻으로 받지도 아니하시느니라. 13. And this have ye done again, covering the altar of the LORD with tears, with weeping, and with crying out, insomuch that he regardeth not the offering any more, or receiveth it with good will at your hand.
14. ¶ 그럼에도 너희는 이르기를, 어찌된 까닭이니이까? 하는도다. 그 까닭은 {주}께서 너와 네가 어려서 취한 아내 사이에 증인이 되셨기 때문이라. 네가 그녀를 대적하며 배신하였으나 그녀는 여전히 네 짝이요 네 언약의 아내니라. 14. ¶ Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the LORD hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant.
15. 그분께는 영(靈)의 여분이 있었으되 그분께서 하나를 만들지 아니하셨느냐? 어찌하여 하나만 만드셨느냐? 이것은 그분께서 하나님을 따르는 씨를 구하고자 하심이라. 그러므로 너희 영을 조심하여 아무도 어려서 취한 아내를 대적하며 배신하지 말지니라. 15. And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.
16. {주} 곧 이스라엘의 하나님이 말하노라. 나는 아내 버리는 것을 미워하노라. 사람이 자기 옷으로 폭력을 덮나니 그러므로 너희는 너희 영을 조심하여 배신하지 말지니라. 만군의 {주}가 말하노라. 16. For the LORD, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the LORD of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.
17. ¶ 너희가 너희 말로 {주}를 지치게 하고도 이르기를, 우리가 어떤 점에서 그분을 지치게 하였느냐? 하나니 너희가 이르기를, 악을 행하는 자마다 {주}의 눈앞에서 선한 자며 그분께서 그들을 기뻐하신다, 하거나 혹은 이르기를, 심판하시는 하나님이 어디 계시냐? 하는 점에서 그리하였느니라. 17. ¶ Ye have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the God of judgment?
1. 만군의 {주}가 말하노라. 보라, 내가 내 사자를 보내리니 그가 내 앞에서 길을 예비할 것이요, 또 너희가 구하는 [주]가 갑자기 자신의 성전에 임하리니 곧 너희가 기뻐하는 언약의 사자라. 보라, 그가 임하리로다. 1. Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.
2. 그러나 그가 임하는 날을 누가 견디겠느냐? 그가 나타나는 때에 누가 서겠느냐? 그는 정련하는 자의 불과 같고 세탁하는 자의 비누와 같으니라. 2. But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap:
3. 그가 은을 정련하여 깨끗하게 하는 자같이 앉아서 레위의 아들들을 깨끗하게 하되 금과 은같이 그들을 깨끗하게 하여 그들이 의 안에서 {주}에게 헌물을 드리게 하리라. 3. And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.
4. 그때에 유다와 예루살렘의 헌물이 옛날과 같이 이전 시대에서와 같이 {주}에게 기쁨이 되리라. 4. Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the LORD, as in the days of old, and as in former years.
5. 내가 심판하려고 너희에게 가까이 임하리니 곧 내가 마법사와 간음하는 자와 거짓 맹세하는 자와 품삯으로 품꾼을 억누르고 과부와 아버지 없는 자를 학대하며 타국인을 쫓아내어 그의 권리를 빼앗고 나를 두려워하지 아니하는 자들을 대적할 신속한 증인이 되리라. 만군의 {주}가 말하노라. 5. And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts.
6. 나는 {주}라 변치 아니하나니 그러므로 너희 야곱의 아들들이 소멸되지 아니하였느니라. 6. For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
7. ¶ 만군의 {주}가 말하노라. 심지어 너희 조상들의 날들로부터 너희가 내 규례들을 버리고 떠나 그것들을 지키지 아니하였도다. 내게로 돌아오라. 그리하면 나도 너희에게로 돌아가리라. 그러나 너희는 이르기를, 우리가 어떤 점에서 돌아가리이까? 하였도다. 7. ¶ Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?
8. ¶ 사람이 하나님의 것을 강도질하겠느냐? 그러나 너희는 내 것을 강도질하고도 말하기를, 우리가 어떤 점에서 주의 것을 강도질하였나이까? 하나니 너희가 십일조와 헌물에서 강도질하였느니라. 8. ¶ Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.
9. 너희가 저주로 저주를 받았나니 이는 너희 곧 이 온 민족이 내 것을 강도질하였기 때문이라. 9. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.
10. 만군의 {주}가 말하노라. 너희는 모든 십일조를 창고로 가져와 내 집에 먹을 것이 있게 하고 이제 그것으로 나를 시험하여 내가 너희를 위해 하늘의 창들을 열고 받을 곳이 없도록 너희에게 복을 쏟아 붓지 아니하나 보라. 10. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
11. 만군의 {주}가 말하노라. 내가 너희를 위하여 먹어 삼키는 자를 꾸짖으리니 그가 너희 땅의 열매를 멸하지 못하리라. 또 너희 포도나무가 때가 이르기 전에 자기 열매를 밭에 떨어뜨리지 아니하리니 11. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.
12. 너희가 심히 기쁜 땅이 되므로 모든 민족들이 너희를 복 받은 자라 하리라. 만군의 {주}가 말하노라. 12. And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.
13. ¶ {주}가 말하노라. 너희가 완악한 말들로 나를 대적하고도 이르기를, 우리가 무슨 말을 그렇게 많이 하여 주를 대적하였나이까? 하는도다. 13. ¶ Your words have been stout against me, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, What have we spoken so much against thee?
14. 너희가 이르기를, 하나님을 섬기는 것이 헛되니 우리가 만군의 {주} 앞에서 그분의 규례를 지킨 것과 애통하는 마음으로 걸은 것이 무슨 유익이 되리요? 14. Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts?
15. 지금 우리는 교만한 자를 행복하다 하고 참으로 악을 행하는 자들은 세워지며 참으로 하나님을 시험하는 자들은 심지어 구출을 받았다, 하였느니라. 15. And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered.
16. ¶ 그때에 {주}를 두려워한 자들이 서로 자주 말하매 {주}께서 귀를 기울여 그것을 들으시고 {주}를 두려워한 자들과 자신의 이름을 생각한 자들을 위하여 자기 앞에서 기념 책을 기록하셨느니라. 16. ¶ Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.
17. 만군의 {주}가 말하노라. 내가 나의 보석들을 만드는 그 날에 그들을 나의 소유로 삼을 것이요, 또 사람이 자기를 섬기는 자기의 친아들을 아끼는 것 같이 내가 그들을 아끼리니 17. And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
18. 그때에 너희가 돌아와서 의로운 자와 사악한 자를 분별하고 하나님을 섬기는 자와 섬기지 아니하는 자를 분별하리라. 18. Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.
1. 보라, 화덕같이 불태우는 날이 임하나니 참으로 교만한 모든 자와 악하게 행하는 모든 자가 지푸라기가 되리라. 다가오는 그 날이 그들을 불태우고 그들에게 뿌리와 가지를 남기지 아니하리라. 만군의 {주}가 말하노라. 1. For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
2. ¶ 그러나 내 이름을 두려워하는 너희에게는 의의 해가 자기 날개들 안에 병 고치는 능력을 가지고 떠오르리니 너희가 나아가서 외양간의 송아지들같이 자라리라. 2. ¶ But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
3. 또 너희가 사악한 자들을 밟으리니 내가 이 일을 행하는 그 날에 그들이 너희 발바닥 밑에서 재가 되리라. 만군의 {주}가 말하노라. 3. And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.
4. ¶ 너희는 내가 호렙에서 온 이스라엘을 위하여 내 종 모세에게 명령한 모세의 율법을 법규와 판단의 법도와 함께 기억하라. 4. ¶ Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.
5. ¶ 보라, 크고 두려운 {주}의 날이 이르기 전에 내가 대언자 엘리야를 너희에게 보내리니 5. ¶ Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:
6. 그가 아버지들의 마음을 자녀들에게로 돌아오게 하며 자녀들의 마음을 그들의 아버지들에게로 돌아오게 하여 내가 와서 저주로 그 땅을 치지 아니하게 하리라. 6. And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
